Bike Carrier Lights & Nose Weight
If your vehicle lights and/or number plate are obscured by your bikes, you are required BY LAW to replicate them with an auxiliary lighting kit
Exceeding the nose weight limit of your lowball can be extremely dangerous and is a criminal offence under the road traffic act.
Check that the combined weight of your rack and bikes does not exceed the prescribed limit.
The Law
Requires your number plate and rear lights to be clearly visible. Therefore, when solo, in practically every case a lighting board will be required, which plugs into your 12N road light socket (note that reflective red triangle are only for use on a trailer, so your board should not have these, but it still needs reflectors).
